Wouldn’t it be amazing if she gets an Oscar nom? We’re willing to bet that the film will get some notice by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association at their 2012 Golden Globe Awards. It’s worth noting that Michael J. Abramowitz , director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum introduced Angelina before the film began. She spoke eloquently, without a touch of nerves, thanking all the people involved, from FilmDistrict’s Graham King and Bob Berney, to the cast, who were all there, and the crew.  She ended by saying “I was trying to show the hostility between people and how the world stood by and watched it happen.  This must not be repeated again.  I’m hoping that this will educate people to preserve peace between different ethnic groups. It was my privilege to be able to be a part of this project.”

Uma Thurman and Arpad Busson (her onetime paramour, ensemble again)? feted Frédéric Malle‘s new book, On Perfume Making. He celebrated the tome in Paris just days ago with an event at his rue du Mont-Thabor store attended by Ines de la Fressange and BHL.) Charlotte Sarkozy, Carolina Irving, Chiara Clemente, and surely others whose prenom begins with “C” (Oh! It’s more than fragrance, n’est-ce pas.Herrera headed uptown for her own store party at the CH Boutique.

Deborah Needleman and her tome, The Perfectly Imperfect Home, were attended to by the likes of Charlotte Moss, Muriel Brandolini, Reed Krakoff, Antony Todd, and Nina Griscom. Always-with-it Herrera honcho Caroline Brown professed to be unfinished with her holiday shopping, but your Daily has doubts. Across the street, La Perla’s US CEO Suzy Biszantz hosted a shopping event for top clients. Live models lounged around in Jean Paul Gaultier’s Collection Créateur line for the maison. “I didn’t know it was such a busy night!” she said, welcoming guests like Rachel Roy and Allison Aston before heading out for dinner at The Mark. Busy is an understatement, love—a singl store even dared to open on such a night! It was the Fogal flagship on—you guessed it—Madison, where Lauren Remington Platt showed the brand’s luxe wares to the likes of Fern Mallis and DJ Harley Viera Newton. A pair of tights to go, please.
