The term ladies sleepwear immediately calls to mind more than just night gowns and womens pajamas; it also calls to mind little lingerie nothings crafted of satin and lace. Many women love these slips of fabric and can’t wait to slip into them at the end of a long day. However, sometimes chiffon and silk just don’t cut it. The more rough-and-tumble among us often feel left out of the ladies sleepwear market. What’s a tomboy to do?
Thankfully, all women with Internet access have a huge range of women sleepwear options open to them. Ladies who’d rather steer clear of overly feminine offerings can choose from a gigantic selection of sleep shirts, pants, shorts, and womens robes that are comfy, flattering, and durable. These are great options for college, travel, camping excursions, sleepovers, and any other time when skimpy sleepwear isn’t really appropriate.
In warm weather, tomboys should consider pajama sets of cap-sleeved tees or tank tops paired with a matching or coordinating set of sleep shorts. These sets are usually made from a cotton/spandex blend that moves with the body and is never binding or restrictive. The shorts may have an elastic waist, or a drawstring top. Remember that any items with drawstrings should be washed in a mesh lingerie bag, preferably with the strings tied in a bow, so that the strings don’t get tangled up in the agitator of the washing machine or come out of the pants entirely. If this happens, wrestling the string back into place is a gigantic hassle!
